How You & Your Pup Should Prepare

First Day Checklist

A dog’s first day at fido fido is very exciting! Try to walk them beforehand to burn off nervous energy to calm anxiety so they’re calm when they meet their new friends!

COVID-19 Policies

Only one member of your family should pick up or drop off your dog in our lobby.
If there is another client in the lobby either wait in your car and call us to notify us of your arrival or if you come in, please maintain at least six feet from others.
Please wear a mask when you are picking up or dropping off your dog.
Please do not bring any personal bedding or items from home other than food.
Keep your leash when you leave. We will attach our own leash.
Please make sure we have a credit card on file for payment. Or, you may pay by phone in advance. We will no longer accept checks or cash.

First Time Boarding Checklist

Whether your dog plays with us all the time and is boarding with us for the first time, or if they’ve never been to fido fido, there are essential items to be aware of before boarding with us.

Checklist

Please contact us in advance to schedule your dog for a boarding visit.
Please complete the check-in form over the phone with a Front Desk Associate or online prior to your visit. Please let us know if your dog has had any recent medical conditions or has allergies.
Please be sure your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date or we will be unable to allow entry.
If your dog is taking medications, remember to bring them in the original bottle. We will need to know specific instructions for administering them as well as what they are for.
Make sure your dog is flea-free and currently on an oral or topical flea preventative.
Bring your dog in with a quick release collar. Please leave any electric fence, choke, or expensive collars at home—as well as tags.
Bring his favorite treats in a baggie clearly labeled with his name. Please let us know how many treats should be given and if you want any returned.
Please refrain from bringing toys, bedding, or bowls.
Please do not bring large containers of food or treats because we have limited space.
Please do not bring food scoops. We will need you to tell us the standard measurement of food your dog requires per feeding. “My dog free-feeds,” is not specific enough. Or, you may pre-measure your dog’s food into individual baggies for each feeding. Please be sure to label each one with your dog’s name.

Policies

Above all, our priority is to provide a loving and fun environment for ALL pets. Please review our policies to have a better understanding of what you and your dog should expect.

Acceptance Policy for New Dogs

We require every dog to currently be on a flea preventative. A one-dose flea treatment, Capstar is available at a small fee prior to check-out to ensure your dog goes home flea-free. If we find fleas on your dog while in our care, we will administer a Capstar, which will be billed to your account.
Dogs must be in good health.
We reserve the right to not accept pets that have compromised immune systems or who have been sick with a communicable disease within 30 days of your intended visit.
We encourage you to consider the Canine Influenza vaccination with the guidance of your vet.
Written proof of current vaccinations is required at least one day prior to your first visit.
All dogs must be spayed or neutered after 6 months of age (Sandy Springs location only).

New & Returning Dogs

No dogs will be admitted into our facility if they are displaying any cold or allergy symptoms such as coughing lethargy, nasal discharge, or fever, or if they have been sick with a communicable disease within 30 days. If we observe any of these symptoms while your dog is in our care, you will be required to immediately pick him up or we can arrange for him to be taken to your local vet.

Medications & Special Needs

Dogs requiring special care may be charged a Special Care Fee of up to $10 per day in addition to regular care rates. Please speak to our Front Desk Associate about your dog’s needs and how we can help. If your dog has a life threatening condition, we recommend you board at your vet’s office.

Check Out Times

 Check out times are 11AM Monday-Saturday and 1PM on Sunday.

Comfort

An exit bath or groom is recommended so that your dog returns home fresh and fluffy. Please bring your dog’s food and treats in labeled containers. No rawhide please! We provide comfy bedding per your request. And, bowls…no problem.

Fees

72 hours (3 days) holiday cancellation notice required to avoid $100.00 fee. 72 hours is calculated from the first scheduled day of boarding.
Fees for all services are due and payable before your pet is picked up. If you have made arrangements for someone else to pick up your dog, you must leave a credit card on file. The pet will only be released to the owner unless prior arrangements have been made.
Owner is responsible for any medical costs related to his pet due to injury or illness at fido fido or after visit.
A deposit is required for all boarding appointments.
We do not accept cash or checks.
Boarding appointments must be cancelled 48 hours in advance of scheduled visit or deposit is forfeited.
